SOPHIE PERINOT is an award-winning author of female-centered historical novels THE SISTER QUEENS and MÉDICIS DAUGHTER (a Goodreads Best Book of the Month). PERINOT was one of six writers who authored the ground-breaking historical novel-in-six-parts, A DAY OF FIRE: STORIES OF POMPEII .
Perinot has both a BA in History and a law degree. Crazy for history from a young age, she enjoys setting her stories against a fully-realized past while simultaneously exploring issues and feelings so essentially human that they transcend any particular era. When Perinot isn’t visiting corners of the past, she lives in Virginia with her three children, two dogs, two cats, and one husband.
RIBBONS OF SCARLET, a novel about the women of the French Revolution, will be released October 1, 2019. This new novel is a collaboration of six bestselling authors—Sophie Perinot, Stephanie Dray, Kate Quinn, Laura Kamoie, E. Knight, and Heather Webb.
